2 Preschooler mini burgers with the Honor roll fries bbq beef brisket cheese bacon and green onions everything was really delicious just couldn't finish tho huge fries too much to eat sheesh

Prompt, friendly service. My hamburger was really, really good, my husband's was not what he expected. It was just a little bit on the basic side. I gave him half of mine and I ate half of his. We loved the fun decor. We would return.

My husband & I Order from here all of the time, the food is always good. If you want a good Burger or You can replace your beef patty with A ground chicken patty! I urge you to try this place out they have many options to choose from!

Absolutely amazing experience! My husband and I visited yesterday night 1-31-20 and we will definitely be back. I had the la maestra burger and a blackberry margarita and it was heavenly. The atmosphere is cool as well and they had so many great options. Our server Nick was so friendly and attentive and we even had a nice chat with the manager. Service, quality and taste of food, atmosphere, and speed of service is all a 10+ out of 10! On top of that, they have a nice sized free parking lot. You won't be disappointed!

Any burger served on a potato bun is a burger for me. Onion rings were great too.

Their veggie patty is not your average burger. The flavor and texture is ideal. They have a large selection of fries and shakes.

I cannot say enough how much I love going to this place. The burgers are always made fresh. They provide great alternatives to meat that's natural like their falafel patties. They also have a bowl option if you don't want the bread. The menu is awesome, I always come her at least once or twice out of the month. I highly recommend trying them out if you haven't.

BEST BURGER IN HTX! 🤜💥🤛 What a great spot! Great parking lot, which is rare for The Heights area. Super friendly hosts as soon as we walked in. Very clean and not too loud at all!Service was fast and food came to us within 10-15 min. Every order was right. Super flavorful, juicy beef patties, the buns are incredible AND you MUST try the hand-cut Truffle fries! You haven’t had a great burger until youe had Bernie’s!

The food and wait staff were excellent. The restaurant was clean. Prices were a little high. Is recommend sharing a large fry between 2 people to save money. The portion size is large enough.

Little disappointed please understand the food was good but when I sit down at a table to eat I want all our food to come out together. My burger was wrong so I had to send it back. By the time I got mine my boyfriend had already finished his. I finally get mine & a 1/4 of the way through when I get my truffle fries which were amazing. In all my mind set was restaurant & it should have been food truck. However I can't take away from the taste the food was good.

It's alright. The ketchup is god-awful, fries are good. Slider was delicious. Restroom needed cleaning. AC was on full blast. Not as great as folks make it seem.

This would be 4 stars if it wasn't for a few things. First of all, the food is amazing. This is definitely the best burger and fries I have every tasted. The ranch dressing is also amazing with the food. So why not 5 stars? They got my order wrong. It's nothing too big, but I ordered my burger with only ketchup, but they got it wrong and put only mustard instead. I also ordered my burger medium well, but they made it well done. If not for those few things, this would be 5 stars. I will definitely be going there again, and I recommend you go to it as well if you want a delicious burger.

A co-worker told me about this place and it is the best burger I haver ever had - a perfect medium rare. The tipsy onions are a MUST even if they don't actually come with your burger! They don't skimp on the topings either. And the fries can be a meal into themselves. Especially if you get the lunch lady fries because they ARE a actual meal. The customer service is wonderful as well.

As my burger was coming out I had to leave immediately due to a work emergency. I wasn't able to eat the burger until 2 hours later and it was STILL delicious so I can only imagine how good they are fresh!!! I will definitely be going back👍🏾👍🏾

Very awesome option for burgers and shakes. Took my wife here and we fell in love! Boozy shakes are a first for me and were very good. I got the PB & J and wife got chocolate and coconut. Burgers are very filling with chili cheese fries. This place even has a family friendly environment with the menu and wait staff! Recommend it for all!

One of my favorite burger places in the Houston area. My usual is the "The Homeroom" with my egg "runny." They have a great variety of fries to go with your burger. My favorite ones are the truffle fries.They currently have the Fully Loaded Onion Rings and it was definitely worth the try.

Love this place! If you’re a teacher, you’ll definitely appreciate the whole school theme. The burgers are awesome! We had the HOMEROOM BURGER, and tater tots. They have homemade ketchup, mustard, and ranch. They also have a full bar. We had Stewart as our bartender and he gave us the whole background behind the restaurant. They have HH every day from 3-7 pm!! I highly recommend Bernie’s Burger Bus.

The shakes are fantastic. The burgers are delicious definitely above average if not one of the best. Competes with Hopdoddy's and The Burger joint in Houston. Good portion of fries which are fantastic. Definitely would come back.

Got to the restaurant early. I was the first customer through the door. Very nice and friendly staff. I ordered the principal with the grilled onions and regular fries. I also got a cookies and cream milkshake. The burger was good. A little messy but in a good way. The only thing I didn't like were the pickles. They had a sweet taste to them. Overall, good burger. The fries were very good. They had a hint of sea salt and it was the perfect amount. The best part by far was the milkshake. One of the best I've had. I would visit this restaurant again for the milkshake alone.

This is my go-to burger place. Enjoyed their burgers from the bus back in '13 when they were parked at my job. Have since taken friends and coworkers to the Heights location. They all agree THIS is a great burger!

Great burgers, service, and atmosphere. Great poutine and shakes as well. They even have great Keto options for the main course but not so much for the sides etc. We will definitely be coming back sooner than later.

Wonderful hamburger-licious experience. So many tasty selections to choose from and so many options for your own variations. Ethan, our server, was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.Will go back for sure and take the whole family.

Food was decent, but a little over priced for a burger place.

Delicious but expensive. I got one of the classic -style burgers and it was very tasty. I loveeee the homemade ketchup! The meat tasted fresh, and the pickles were wonderful as well. I got a combo, which included the burger, truffle fries, and a drink (I got a lemonade, which was very refreshing!) and that was about $15. I will be back, but it won’t be a regular thing, simply because it’s pretty steep for a burger. I wish that when I got the burger with no bun they used a different type of lettuce, other than shredded iceberg.

It's a consistent chain with good quality food for the price, the environment is the same as any location and service is just good. The substitute it's the option I had and was savory, sweet potatoes fries are OK with the sauce having its own taste, the bun was amazing being the best in the burger.As an experience, place needs to be cleaner, I know it's busy but it can not demerit the eye on the detail, the table had that bad odor that was "cleaned" with a cloth not that clean, also there is trash on the floor, definitively something they can improve with someone focused on managing properly the place.

This is a good place to eat with a fun atmosphere. We had the Fire Drill and the Homeroom along with the Chili Cheese Fries. Everything was delicious! The staffers were friendly and everything has a laid-back vibe. Very satisfying and juicy burgers topped with great ingredients. Great spot for burgers!

Honestly think I'd rather be at Burger Joint. The burger is solid and the fries are better than Burger Joint's fries, but it just didn't leave as satisfying of a feeling for some reason? I think it was the burger bun that just didn't feel as satisfying.Get the chipotle mayo; it's delicious. 4 stars because it's crazy priced ($4 minimum for fries, what? Is there a fries inflation going on?) but it's still worth a visit.

Delicious. I had the substitute burger, added grilled garlic tomatoes. The sweet potato fries and regular fries are delicious. We went to the one in the Heights. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Saw this on triple D and thought I just had to try it on my next visit to Houston. So, ummm, yeah - all the build up and excitement for a burger that's meh. It was ok for me, now the truffle fries were DELISH!!

Uniquely concept burger joint serving up some delicious school related name burgers. Their kitchen is actually in a bus which is quite a sight to see. The Fire Drill Burger or the Detention Burger are the go to burgers. The salsa verde, chipotle aioli, spicy guacamole, and the slow roasted garlic tomatoes make the Fire Drill a must. For the sides, go for the sweet potato fries and truffle-laced fries. I wish the sweet potato fries were thicker and not so thin. The homemade lemonade is a bit too sweet and need to tone it down. Other than those two down falls this place is pretty awesome.

The burger with the bacon grilled cheese buns was amazing. Not just greasy salty cheese... It actually had great depth of flavor somehow. Everything else was good too. Definitely satisfying for burger lovers.

If I could give this burger joint 10 stars I would. My GOD it was delicious. I ordered the Cheerleader and added pickles and onions. Believe me it’s amazing! It’s the kind of burger you never want to end. My husband ordered the Fire Drill and he says it was so good. If you are reading this review and are debating between two restaurants. Come to this one!!

Great place. Drinks are good and not over priced. They have a great selection of burgers and fries. I had the truffle fries and my buddy had a burger. It looked a little small but he said the flavor was amazing. I liked the weird pics on the wall in the bathroom. Lol

We just had lunch at Bernie’s Burger Bus. It opened in The Heights recently. I had a burger with Burgandy mushrooms and blue cheese. It was delicious. My wife had a burger with a fried egg in it. It was very good as well. The food was outstanding but they don’t have a dessert menu and the music is too loud. That is why they didn’t get the fifth star. I’m still coming back though.

Interesting place. Love the bus idea .... Nostalgic! They have a very creative menu for sure. The Selection of gourmet fries alone are worth coming back. This was my first time, and I enjoyed it (especially, those fries) , but I personally feel the burgers are not near as good for what they Charge. $12- $20 for just a burger "No Fries" seems excessive. Might be worth paying that price if you got to choose a side of small gourmet fries. Just a thought. I will come back, but it won't be for burgers. More of a Tapa's joint for me. I Could spend a fortune on their appetizers & gourmet fries though!The waitress & hostess I interacted with on my visit were charming and pleasant.

My substitute burger was absolutely delicious. The fries were crispy and loaded with bacon, blue cheese goodness. The strawberry margarita will have you wanting more.

Considering all the hype and recommendation I got from a friend, I didn't get much out of this experience that wowed me. I liked it for the most part, though. I got the Mac and cheese balls and my girlfriend got a burger plus fries. We were given free waffle fries, so that was a nice surprise. The food was pretty good, but I guess I expected more for some reason. Probably won't come back here for a date any time soon, though.

We end up here for dinner once a month. We really do love this local burger place. We have never had bad food here and they do a yummy, gooey, good burger. We have eaten a fair amount of their menu. And we really love their onion rings. We even went to Bellaire to order from them during the pandemic.

Dam good burgers. Fire Drill was cooked perfectly at medium rare. The slow garlic garlic tomatoes were sweet and perfect. Not spicy. Shredded lettuce was not needed as you already had crispy tortilla chips for the crunch texture. Their honor roll fries were passable. It was alot of fries but we're just ok.

Bernie's Burger Bus Heights Location offers great service and delicious burgers and fries. The parking is good. The staff is pleasant. The cost is reasonable. I had so many options to choose from doing my visit recently, but I decided on the burger in a bowl. I needed to take the break away, so I wouldn't feel guilty about the chili cheese fries I had. The chili and cheese made the fries just right. They have many shakes you can choose from. I ordered the salted caramel apple. The bits of salted caramel made every sip sweet and crunchy. Also, the fried jalapeños were delicious. They weren't too hot. I think you'll enjoy the food here.

This place serves awesome burgers! Very juicy and the decor inside has a school vibe. I always order the Homeroom, egg runny, and an order of the lunch lady fries 👌 always leave full and satisfied. Theres plenty of parking at this location and it can get pretty loud during peak times, but definitely worth it! Would highly recommend as a Houston MUST.

This is our 1st time here! It was amazing! The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. Or the home Room Burger which came with a fried egg on it and I have to say it was Out standing!
